Paddle the Peace River Today!

The Peace River Canoe Trail begins at the canoe launch just off of Hwy 60 in Bartow, it ends in Arcadia. This is wilderness paddling at its best. As you float downstream in your canoe, kayak or standup paddle board you will pass through some of the most beautiful parts of Florida. Moss draped oak trees, cypress and cabbage palms line the banks. Wildlife is abundant with deer, river otters, bald eagles, ospreys and the well-respected alligator frequently seen along the banks. The river passes through an area of Florida known to geologists as Bone Valley, because of the many fossils that are found in the river bed. Fossil hunters come from all parts of the world to look for these ancient treasures. Fishing is great on the river as well, with largemouth bass, cat fish and the occasional snook caught by avid fisherman. Camping is a popular activity along the Peace River also. With numerous places to wilderness camp along the way, the paddler has many opportunities to enjoy the quiet and solitude of the great outdoors.

Here at Peace River Paddle Sports (PRPS) we are not just here to rent you a kayak, canoe or paddle board. We are true paddlers with over 30 years of experience paddling the Peace River. As American Canoe Association certified kayak and SUP instructors we offer instruction for the novice as well as the experienced paddler. Our commitment is to help you have the best trip possible on the Peace River.

We are located in the beautiful Pioneer Park in Zolfo Springs Florida, an easy drive from Kissimmee, Orlando, Tampa and Sarasota. At PRPS we focus on the upper portion of the Peace River from Homeland Park in Polk County to Gardner in the southern part of Hardee County.

Don’t let another week go by without experiencing the wonders and beauty of the beautiful Peace River.
